Wendy’s research explores the intersections of urban studies, social sciences, and environmental humanities, with a focus on regenerative futures, planetary commons, and the transformative role of universities.
She is an award-winning researcher, writer, and educator, and the author of Planning Wild Cities, Quiet Activism, The Sustainable Development Goals and Higher Education, and Hot Cities. Through initiatives like the Planetary Civics Initiative, she champions the role of the humanities and social sciences in addressing climate change and reimagining the purpose of universities.
