 APPLICATION CRITERIA:

Successful applicants will be emerging leaders from different sectors, backgrounds, countries, and communities across the global North and South.  

They will be:

  • Emerging leaders (with 5+ years of professional experience)
  • Highly motivated individuals who show commitment to bring about positive change, and who can demonstrate their leadership potential and/or capability
  • Able to clearly demonstrate what they bring to the programme challenge
  • Interested in environmental issues and in addressing the imbalance between the global North and South
  • Proficient in written and spoken English
  • Able to commit to the duration of the Fellowship

 

Please note that in this application, we sincerely wish to learn about your experiences and your motivations in your own voice. Applications that show evidence of having depended on AI for their content will be disqualified.

During the Fellowship

Participant contact details
As part of the Fellowship materials distributed to participants, we will publish your name, job title, organization and contact details strictly to members of your own participant group. This is to facilitate learning and connection during the Fellowship. If you do not opt in, your contact details will not appear on any information shared with your fellow participants.

Photography & Filming

If accepted onto the Fellowship, Common Purpose and Africa Finance Corporation (“AFC”) may take video footage and images for the purpose of publicity, online promotion and social media content.

I grant Common Purpose and AFC the right to take video footage and stills pictures of me during the Fellowship and associated events, and to use the Materials, without restriction as to changes or alterations, for any and all purposes (including, without limitation, trade, advertising, social media and publicity purposes) at any time, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known and hereafter devised, by any and all means of delivery. You can ask Common Purpose and AFC to stop using your image at any time, in which case, it will not be used in future publications but may continue to appear in publications already in circulation.

I agree that the Materials or any proposed use thereof by Common Purpose and AFC does not need to be submitted to me for review or approval.

After the Fellowship

Participants successfully completing the Fellowship gain access to a worldwide network of Common Purpose alums. You can opt in to receive Common Purpose’s alumni-only emails. You will be sent occasional email newsletters with the latest news, articles, exclusive alumni webinars and more.
