When the Commonwealth Games arrive in Glasgow, the world will witness extraordinary athletic performance. But GLASGOW GENERATION is about something more - making sure the next generation of Glasgow is seen, heard, and remembered.

A collective of 96 young people - one for every year of the Games’ history - coming together from across Glasgow representing Glasgow’s communities, its cultures, and its future. If you are interested in sport, interested in what the Commonwealth Games might bring to the city and ready to share your ideas, then this is where it begins.

Have you ever felt a desire to make a real impact? To better understand what is happening in Northern Ireland right now, how priorities get set and things get done? To shape a future that connects more with you and your generation? You're in the right place!

Northern Ireland Legacy is an opportunity to think bigger, get new perspectives, be challenged to think differently, and understand the power of unexpected connections with people you might never normally meet who are playing a role in the big and small changes shaping the future of Northern Ireland. And your voice matters in that future. This isn't just a leadership programme; it's a purposeful movement fuelled by courage, energy, vision and others who share your commitment.

You’ll connect directly with athletes, partners, and leaders shaping the Games and the city beyond it.

You’ll build skills grounded in high-performance sport - resilience, teamwork, mindset - and apply them in real-world contexts.

GLASGOW GENERATION 2026 is an immersive, behind-the-scenes experience in advance of the Games that brings together young people from across Glasgow to connect with athletes, partners, and leaders shaping the city. You’ll step into spaces most people don’t see, working collaboratively to explore how sport, creativity, and leadership come together to shape what happens next.
