The Future Leader Experience programme is one of the most valuable courses I have ever attended. I met inspiring speakers, broadened my network and gained knowledge about leadership.
For the first time in my life I was surrounded by people who were from absolutely different cultural backgrounds. We had difficult conversations about difficult issues, which pushed me outside of my comfort zone. I really had to learn how to be an active listener and understand other people’s opinions.
I believe I have always been a tolerant person, but now I am on the road to developing Cultural Intelligence. I’m keener to understand the different life-stories people have—family, past experiences, personal life—and how this informs who they are and the approaches they take. It’s clear to me that without Cultural Intelligence, leaders cannot succeed. Because of Future Leader Experience, I’m more confident I can be a successful leader in the future!
