As part of the next steps in my leadership development, I’d be very keen to take part in Common Purpose Beacon for high-potential leaders. This programme is tailored towards emerging and established leaders who are focused on making a positive impact in their teams and organizations.
The programme is not classroom-orientated but rooted in the real world. It combines hands-on, experiential learning with intimate access to high-calibre leaders and real-life leadership challenges, meaning it provides real-world strategies that can be applied quickly to our organization.
The experience will provide me with several important learnings as a leader in our organization:
Balanced Changemaker: Participants will learn to master the art of balancing competing priorities, not just within ourselves, but across teams and the organization. We will develop skills that help align my personal ambitions with the broader goals of our organization, enhancing both individual and collective efficacy.
Dynamic Innovator: By becoming catalysts for curiosity and innovation, participants will enhance our ability to foster an environment that encourages independent learning. This environment will also leverage diversity to boost team performance, driving my team’s innovative capacities forward.
Open-Minded Learner: Participants will embrace a wide range of perspectives and cultural viewpoints, enriching the decision-making processes within my team. This broadened perspective enables me to recognize diverse worldviews, see the bigger picture, and make more informed decisions, thereby improving the quality of outcomes.
Perceptive Collaborator: Through increased self-awareness, participants will enhance our leadership effectiveness. We will have opportunities to reflect on our strengths and areas for improvement, which is crucial for developing adaptive and responsive leadership skills within my team.
Also, Common Purpose themselves are a leading global leadership development organization of both in-person and online programmes. With over 30 years of experience, they have worked with over 120,000 alumni in that time across the world, and with some of the world’s leading organizations to develop people who can cross cultural, social, and institutional boundaries.
If you'd like more information they would be happy to set up some time for us all.
