The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2015 will take place between 27th and 29th November 2015. Heads of Government from 53 Commonwealth countries are meeting for a second time in Malta with the aim of building bridges of cooperation under the theme of “Adding Global Value.”
CHOGM 2015 will be preceded by a series of four fora, each dedicated to a topical subject under the wider CHOGM theme. The Commonwealth People’s Forum shall bring together members of the Civil Society in a discussion on “What Makes Resilient Societies?”; while the Business Forum shall involve the Private Sector in addressing the concept of “Creating a More Prosperous Commonwealth”.
With more than half the Commonwealth population under the age of 30, will provide a platform for young people to set and manage their own agenda and contribute to development and democracy. through the social media campaign #whatnext? For the first time, a Women's’ Forum is also being held, with the main aim of this Forum being to raise awareness of women’s issues in Commonwealth countries and show how women’s contributions can have a positive impact politically, economically and socially.
