- What are you most passionate about?
Making a difference to peoples lives. In whatever way I can. Putting a smile onto people’s faces and helping connect like minded people! You reap what you sow in life, so do anything to make a positive impact on your life and others.
- What/who inspires you?
People who are humble and do things daily to impact on others lives in whatever way that may be. The man who stops and picks up some dropped litter. The child who gives up their seat for an elder, the lady who lets you go in front of her at the checkout as you only have one item and she has a trolley full.
- How has your life changed after Common Purpose?
Common Purpose made a massive difference to how I went about my life and business. It made me look outside the box and allowed me time to work on me and my business. I realized there were other more important things than making money! It allowed me to connect and understand things from other people’s point of view.
One of the biggest things I did from being on Common Purpose was implement a CSR strategy in 2002. I allowed my team to take up to half a day a week to do something that would have a positive impact on other people lives. They chose to do things from reading to children in schools, to working with the homeless and ex-offenders.
It also broadened my personal and professional network and I can now say I have made some amazing friends over the years.
