I had just given a talk on Cultural Intelligence at the Common Purpose Student Leader Innovation Experience for students from China and the UK. I specifically spoke on Core and Flex®. A young man stood up at the end of a talk and stunned me.

I think a fair summary of what he said was that he understood Core, recognised it, felt his was strong and confident. But he had always regarded His Core as entirely personal, private, his business, internal.

Now he recognised that if he wanted to be a leader it could not remain so. He had to reveal it, to share it. Because if he did not then people would not understand him and crucially they would not trust him. And if he didn't know how to reveal his Core, how could he expect others to share their Core with him?

I’d like to know how and when you choose to reveal your Core.
