Louise Teboul, one of our Common Purpose UK Partnership Directors, won Highly Commended at The Signature Awards, in the Business Woman of the Year category.
The awards celebrated the best in business and especially those operating in the business-to-business sector including the professions. The event shone a spotlight on the work of those business professionals who have provided cutting edge thinking and have driven their organizations forward.
Delivering a range of cross-sector, experiential programmes, Louise is effectively the ‘relationship manager’ for Common Purpose in the Midlands, but also has a UK-wide remit, as well as chairing our International Leadership Forums. Working with many hundreds of participants and contributors each year, from emerging to senior leaders, she was also instrumental in working with partners to bring a Birmingham Legacy programme to the city last year, which was free for 18-25 year olds.
Louise said, “I was delighted to receive an accolade at the Signature Awards, but I also wanted to take the opportunity to genuinely say this award isn't just for me. I just happen to the front-facing person in the region - there are so many colleagues, in front of and behind the scenes, as well as our contributors, supporters, learning group guides, advisory group members and participants - who help make the magic happen. So thank you to everyone who supports us - as a not-for-profit organization, with a social purpose, we don't have big marketing budgets - so any support, endorsement and recognition is so valuable to us. And award nominations like this do help raise awareness of our leadership programmes, which in turn allow us to invest into projects like our free Legacy programmes for young people or bursary places for people who cannot afford to come on our open programmes.”
