Vanessa Emmett has been working with Common Purpose on CSCLeaders since November 2011. Prior to this Vanessa has worked in a variety of roles internationally, most recently in New York and Hong Kong in various not-for-profit fund-raising initiatives. Vanessa also worked in New York for FT Knowledge to set up their customised financial training business in Central America and the Caribbean, in London as National Programme Manager for the Debate of the Age campaign, and at Tyzack & Partners Executive Search and she spent nine years in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office serving in both London and Mexico as Second, later First Secretary.
Vanessa is also a trustee of the charity Family Links. She holds an MA in History from Selwyn College, Cambridge and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business from the LSE. In her spare time she enjoys theatre, music, opera, reading, travelling and spending time with family. Vanessa is married with two children and lives in Oxford.
