Executive Director, Common Purpose US

Pippa Burke

Pippa is extremely passionate about social change. In her current role for Common Purpose US as Executive Director, she is working to grow programs across the States, which develop young leaders, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Pippa was born in Germany and grew up in the UK but has spent most of her adult life in the US.
After Law School, Pippa worked in contract law in the private sector in London and then moved to New York City, where she managed large scale contracts and financial portfolios on Wall Street.

In 2015, Pippa decided she wanted to dedicate the rest of her career to her passion for helping others with a particular emphasis on racial, social and environmental justice. This led her joining Common Purpose in March 2018. As Executive Director of Common Purpose US, she is responsible for developing our reach and social impact in US cities, with a focus on growing Common Purpose Legacy initiatives. Legacy is a global campaign by Common Purpose, which invests in young people across the world so they can become a connected generation of leaders with a clear vision for what their legacy will be.

Pippa holds a BSc in Computer Science & Information’s Systems, an LLB in Law and LLM in Human Rights Law.

Pippa also sits on the Advisory Board of Transformation, LLC.
