Pippa Burke

Pippa is extremely passionate about social change. In her current role she heads up Common Purpose US as Executive Director, where she is working to grow programs across the States, which develop young leaders, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Pippa was born in Germany and grew up in the UK. Pippa has worked in the private sector in New York City, where she managed large scale contracts and financial portfolios on Wall Street. She has also lived and worked in San Francisco, Phoenix, Chicago and Miami.

In 2015, Pippa decided she wanted to dedicate the rest of her career to her passion for helping others with a particular emphasis on racial, social and environmental justice. This led her joining Common Purpose in March 2018. As Executive Director of Common Purpose US, she is responsible for developing our reach and social impact in US cities, and for overseeing the growth of all our US programs, with a focus on growing Common Purpose Legacy programs. The objective of Legacy Programs is to build a generation of young leaders who connect their communities, cities and countries and change the world, despite their differences.

Pippa holds a BSc in Computer Science & Information’s Systems, an LLB in Law and LLM in Human Rights Law.

Pippa also sits on the Advisory Board of Transformation, LLC.
