Eric Lugo

Eric is currently the Executive Vice Chancellor, Institutional Advancement, at City Colleges of Chicago, and is a transformative leader driving social innovation through impact philanthropy, workforce innovation and creative strategy. He has an extensive understanding of social sector trends and cultural demographics, and has experience in strategic planning, economic and workforce development, community engagement and project management. 

He is also the Founder and Principal of Conciencia Ventures LLC, whose mission is to connect entrepreneurial and creative strategy to the social impact sector. Chicago's non-profit environment houses some of the USA's most innovative, impassioned and impact organizations, and Conciencia aims to drive the sustainability of that vital ecosystem by deepening access to collaborative spaces and the capital necessary to build scale. To achieve this, Conciencia works with philanthropic institutions and non-profit organizations to heighten capacity and impact by leveraging assets, technology and talent. 

Eric also serves on various boards and councils in a non-executive capacity. He is the Director of the Board of Directors at the Chicago Learning Exchange, a Steering Committee member on Nuestro Futuro: Latino Heritage Endowment at The Chicago Community Trust, and a Chicago Council Member at United Way of Metropolitan Chicago. He also sits on the Student Affairs Advisory Council at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
