Swati Mathur

Swati is the Chief Operating Officer of Common Purpose Asia-Pacific, Singapore. Swati joined Common Purpose two years ago, after spending a decade in the corporate sector – in a different part of Asia, where she led leadership development – and she brings that experience to her role in Common Purpose. In her current role, she is responsible for designing and delivering programmes for senior leaders across the region. She is passionate about leadership development and in the past has led organizations to realize their leadership aspirations.

Swati heads the ASEAN Leaders Programme, which involves recruiting participants, leading the curriculum design and programme delivery. She also leads on the programme design for bespoke interventions with organizational partners and manages key relationships for the organization in the wider Asia-Pacific region.

Organizational transformation is what drives Swati, with leadership sitting at the core. As a part of her role, Swati has travelled across Asia-Pacific to introduce Common Purpose's unique pedagogy of Cultural Intelligence to organizations in the government, private and not-for-profit sectors. She has also delivered programmes in Singapore, Jakarta, Manila, Hong Kong and India.

Prior to joining Common Purpose, Swati was Vice President and Head of Human Resources for Edelweiss Retail Finance and was concurrently Leadership Development Lead for Edelweiss Financial Services. She also worked with Cisco Systems and 3Global Systems prior to that. Swati holds a Master of Arts in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Born in India, she now lives in Singapore with her family.
