Sophie joined Common Purpose in September 2010 and is currently Communications and Alumni Director, responsible for sharing the stories and impact of Common Purpose Student Experiences to a global audience.
Sophie has held a number of positions across Common Purpose prior to this role, most recently Programmes Director managing and delivering leadership programmes for university students around the world at higher education institutions such as Harvard (USA), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (India), Fundação Dom Cabral (Brazil) and University College London (UK).
Sophie has previously served as the Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive of Common Purpose Charitable Trust supporting the writing of a book on Cultural Intelligence, as well as delivered leadership programmes for senior and emerging leaders from across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors in London.
Sophie graduated from the University of Durham with a BA (Hons) in Politics. As a keen traveller, she spent extensive periods of time in South America prior to and following university where she learnt to speak Spanish (and a handful of phrases in Portuguese).
Her most recent journey has brought her to Johannesburg where she has relocated from London to experience life in a new city; she’s now excited to call Jozi home and spends her spare time getting to know South Africa.
