Melvin Poon

Melvin is a Partner with PwC’s Financial Services Industry Practice and has more than 18 years of audit experience, including secondments of three years each with PwC New York and PwC Sydney and six months with PwC Beijing.

In New York, Melvin held senior roles including Head Office co-ordination on the audits of two of PwC New York's largest financial services clients globally and was involved in the audit transition and first year audit of a large financial institution.

Melvin is currently responsible for managing regional relationships with large listed financial institutions in Singapore and around the Asia region.

He actively contributes to PwC’s Global Thought Leadership publications – the few most recent being “Trading Blocs”, “Doing Business in ASEAN” and “Myanmar’s Banking Sector Liberalisation: A Win-Win for All”.

Melvin is also active in community service – he is a council member of a local charitable organisation, a board member of a government sponsored family service centre, an advisory council member in a local primary school and Chairman of a local neighbourhood committee. He is also the vice-chairman of a local art association in Singapore.
