PA to CEO / Lead Admin

Fiona Hannigan

Fiona began her career in administration in London working in several organisations both Private and Public. On returning to Ireland, Fiona worked with the Cork Opera House providing admin support to office staff and taking bookings for the wide variety of interesting shows on offer during the year.

Fiona took a career break for seven years to raise her young family. During this period, she got involved in a large Community project in Cork, which took eight years to complete. On returning to work, she joined a project sponsored by the Health Service Executive called Teen Parents Support Programme, and worked there for many years.  A project working with young pregnant teenagers. The objective was to support young parents by providing parenting advice and guidance, emotional and financial support, to remove barriers and enable the young parents to stay in education and complete State Examinations. The only administrator, Fiona managed the office and the School Completion Funding.

Moved to the Youth Health Service, a very busy service providing health screening, counselling services, and medical services free to young adults. Budgetary cuts affected the service during the recession, which eventually necessitated a reduction in staff.  Fiona started working with Common Purpose Ireland in April 2016 as PA to CEO/Lead Admin.
