Munira was a part of the core team which was involved in setting up the India operations since its inception in 2008 in various capacities. These include organizational and curriculum development, building strategic partnerships with government, private and social sector. She also oversees Ventures in India. More recently Munira co-facilitated the Commonwealth Study Conference for leaders from 24 countries in Mumbai. A passionate social entrepreneur with 33 years of work experience, Munira is known for her work in building both social enterprises and grassroots organizations. Earlier, as Executive Director of the NGO Madhyam, Munira was instrumental in setting up Kala Madhyam, a social enterprise linking rural artisans with urban markets. Currently, she is on the board of Ecogram and the National Folklore Centre. She is also actively associated with theatre, radio and television and was nominated Radio City Woman of the Year Award in 2003, and won the CPAA Woman Achiever Award in 2004.
