Guy Stobart

Guy qualified as a solicitor in 1980 with Slaughter and May. He moved to Bristol in 1983 and joined Burges Salmon. He became a partner in 1986. He became involved with the management of the firm in the late 1980s and became Managing Partner in 1995. He had three terms as Managing Partner and then left in 2009 to become Chief Executive of another law firm, Kennedys, headquartered in London. He stepped down from that position at the end of 2014 but remains as a consultant with the firm. Kennedys has brought an increased international dimension to Guy’s role through its network of non-UK offices. Guy has been involved with Common Purpose since the 1990s and is a graduate of the Common Purpose Matrix programme. He has been a trustee of Common Purpose since December 2010.
