Generation Infinity is one-day
event run by Common Purpose for young people aged 12 to 22 and
their role models.
London-based actress, Genevieve Barr, is one of six keynote
speakers for the event, in a line-up that includes:
- Tunde Banjoko, Chief Executive, LEAP
- Sir Cyril Chantler, Chairman of Kings Fund and Chairman of UCL
Partners
- George Giarchi, Professor in Social Care, Plymouth
University
- Alex Holmes, Anti-bullying Campaigner
- Julia Middleton, Social Entrepreneur
- Gary Phillips, Head Teacher, Lilian Baylis Technology School,
London
"It's a great opportunity to inspire a younger generation of
leaders to care about our country and have a greater vision beyond
the individual," said Genevieve Barr. "I consider it a
compliment and an honour to have the chance to act as a role model
and to pass on the knowledge and skills that I've been able to
enhance and develop through Common Purpose."
"As leaders we have less time, less resources, less
budget...and lots to achieve," said Julia Middleton, Founder
and Chief Executive of Common Purpose. "So we need to inspire
people - especially young people - to think big and push themselves
hard... to be courageous.
"Current leaders need to rebuild the inspiration and
credibility of leadership by providing young people with the
opportunity to hear about the challenges, opportunities and rewards
of being a decisive, courageous and passionate leader," said
Julia Middleton.
