Common Purpose are looking for a dynamic and ambitious person to work as part of a global team delivering exciting leadership development programmes to students and young professionals across the world.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone full of energy, drive and with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join us and support the delivery and events team in Bangalore.

Much of the role is about relationships and people, so you must be a good communicator with the ability to connect quickly with a wide range of people. In addition, you should be able to coordinate events and manage vendors effectively. The role also requires international travel occasionally and the ability to work with a team that is based in London, Singapore, Johannesburg and Bangalore

Main purpose of the role

The main purpose of this role is to coordinate activities for Common Purpose Student Experiences programmes and to support the work of the international delivery team. The role includes international travel to support the delivery of our student leadership programmes globally.

Department/Office

Common Purpose Student Experiences delivers student and youth programmes around the world. We partner with world-class universities, including 10 of the top 30 universities globally.

Qualifications, experience and competences

  • Coordination and administration experience
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office including email, Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English
  • Professional and friendly telephone/email manner
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Able and willing to travel for short periods of time and at short notice and outside of normal working hours (courses with long haul flights mean working weekends and some courses into evenings)
  • Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures
  • Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritising a high workload and multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • An understanding of and commitment to Common Purpose’s mission, values and behaviours

Qualifications, experience and competences

  • Experience managing/working with CRM databases
  • Experience working with students
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
  • A graduate degree (or equivalent qualification) in any subject
