Overall Objectives and Person specification

The main purpose of this role is to work across the organization, globally, to ensure that our direct marketing hits its mark. You will be responsible for ensuring different teams have all the resources, insight and support they need to create rich, compelling marketing materials.

Essential qualifications, experience and competences:

  • Work across the organization, globally, to assist in the planning and execution of business proposals and other marketing materials
  • Manage and grow an internal online library of marketing resources
  • Assist in the creation of materials; this may include writing copy, creating design elements, selecting images and laying out content in a strong visual manner
  • Collect content that engages our audiences such as evidence, images, case studies and impact stories
  • Train and support staff on how to use Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher
  • Act as quality control: ensure all materials are accurate, effective and on-brand
  • Track the effectiveness of direct marketing across the organization in order to maximize future success
  • Assist in the creation of digital content and the management of online user journeys
  • Co-ordinate online leads to create new sales opportunities.

Essential qualifications, experience and competences:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Superb written and verbal communications skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to use editorial judgement and think about
  • materials the audience point of view
  • Ability to write compelling sales content
  • An understanding of how to effectively layout marketing materials on the page
  • Experience using Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint to a high level
  • Strong visual eye for page layout and formatting
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and deliver competing tasks to deadlines, under pressure
  • Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions, cultures and levels (both online and offline)
  • Ability to operate both independently and as part of a small team
  • An understanding of and commitment to Common Purpose’s mission, values and behaviours
  • Ability to train and coach online via Skype or other channels
  • Commitment to creating efficiency through building sustainable systems
  • The enthusiasm to learn new skills; meaning the role can grow with you

 

Desirable qualifications, experience and competences:

  • Experience using a Content Management System (CMS)
  • Experience managing an online library of sales materials
  • Experience using Adobe InDesign
