We are currently looking for a dynamic and ambitious professional to join us as EA to the Chief Executive, Common Purpose Student Experiences, based in Bangalore. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to take the next step in their professional career. Operating within a dynamic and fast-paced environment you will be responsible for ensuring that the Chief Executive, and the wider Common Purpose Student Experiences team, are supported to meet their business goals. We are looking for someone who shares our values and is passionate about student leadership development. The successful candidate will have experience of working in an Executive Assistant role.

Overall Objectives and Person specification

The main purpose of this role is to providing support to the Chief Executive, coordinate activities for Common Purpose Student Experiences programmes and to support the work of the international delivery team. The role includes international travel to support the delivery of our student leadership programmes globally.

Scope of the role

This role involves: 

Support the Chief Executive

  • Providing support to the Chief Executive, managing the Chief Executive’s diary effectively and responsively and maintaining CEO schedule and appointments
  • Taking notes and following up on actions on behalf of the Chief Executive
  • Preparing and editing correspondence, communications, and other documents on behalf of the CEO where appropriate
  • Booking and co-ordinating  the Chief Executive’s travel schedule and reservations and managing expenses and other filing systems effectively
  • Researching external clients prior to meetings and providing detailed and accurate written or verbal briefs to the CEO

Provide CPSE Board Support

  • Prepare in depth data/information and analysis for use in CPSE Board meetings 
  • Arrange and co-ordinate Trustees meetings
  • Gather appropriate questions and content for drafting and distributing internal report papers and agendas

Business Support

  • General office administration
  • Management of income and expenditure information
  • Maintenance our global stakeholder database
  • Access and set up reports from CPO (our internal information management system)

Programme planning and preparation

  • Act as a flexible resource for the programme delivery team including supporting in the preparation, delivery and reporting of our global leadership development programmes for students.

 

Person specification

Essential qualifications, experience and competences:

  • Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English
  • Coordination and administration experience
  • Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritizing a high workload and multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Confident and proficient in the use of MS Office, including email, Word and Excel
  • Professional and friendly telephone/email manner
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Able and willing to travel for short periods of time and at short notice and outside of normal working hours (programmes with long haul flights mean working weekends and some programmes into evenings)
  • Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures
  • An understanding of and commitment to Common Purpose’s mission, values and behaviours 

 

Desirable qualifications, experience and competences:

  • Diary management experience
  • Experience managing/working with CRM databases
  • Experience working with students
  • Ability to speak multiple languages
  • A graduate degree (or equivalent qualification) in any subject
