Direct Marketing Executive

The role

Common Purpose is looking for a dynamic and ambitious person to join our Communications and Marketing team, to work as a Direct Marketing Executive. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone full of energy and drive to improve the quality and effectiveness of Common Purpose’s direct marketing at every stage of the sales process.

The main purpose of this role is to support direct marketing (both B2B and B2C) across the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring business managers have all the resources they need to create rich and compelling sales materials. You will manage and grow a library of resources to meet every sales need. You will proactively research and create new sales materials and templates. You will coach staff on the use of Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Publisher) ensuring marketing materials are visually effective. You will work with online content to identify new sales opportunities for the organization.

Contract Type: Full time permanent

Salary: INR 2,50,000-3,00,000 per annum

Qualifications, experience and competences

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Superb written and verbal communications skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to use editorial judgement and think about materials the audience point of view
  • Ability to write compelling sales content
  • An understanding of how to effectively layout sales materials on the page
  • Experience using Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint to a high level
  • Strong visual eye for page layout and formatting
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver competing tasks to deadlines, under pressure
  • Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions, cultures and levels
  • Ability to operate both independently and as part of a small team
  • An understanding of and commitment to Common Purpose’s mission, values and behaviours
  • Ability to train and coach online via Skype or other channels

  •   An experienced understanding of the sales process
  •   Experience using a Content Management System (CMS)
  •   Experience managing an online library of sales materials
  •   Experience using Adobe InDesign
