Common Purpose is a not-for-profit leadership development organization. Our objective is to develop leaders who can cross boundaries. A not-for-profit, we run programmes in over 70 cities worldwide. Founded in 1989, over 4,000 people become Common Purpose Alumni every year. We are currently looking for a dynamic and ambitious professional to join our Communications and Marketing team, to work as the Digital Marketing Manager.

After a period developing an extensive digital infrastructure, Common Purpose is looking for an exceptional Digital Marketing professional to lead global marketing campaigns and take our digital strategy to the next level. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven professional to support Common Purpose in the delivery of a range of digital marketing campaigns. You will understand how great content can engage different markets, and you will know how to create it. And you will know how to reach audiences with maximum impact using SEO, social media, email marketing and a Google AdWords grant of $480,000 pa.

You will lead a team responsible for devising and delivering global digital campaigns. You will build relationships and influence across a global organization to transform our approach to digital.

Salary: INR 8-10 lakhs

Overall Objectives and Person specification

The main purpose of this role is to produce exceptional digital content campaigns that delight, educate and inspire and to lead and line-manage a digital marketing sub-team to ensure that we reach global audiences.

Scope of the role

This role involves:

  • Maximize the potential of our digital infrastructure to engage new audiences and generate new business
  • Plan and deliver a digital content calendar that communicates our brand and drives engagement
  • Create and edit written content that communicates our brand story
  • Devise and create digital marketing funnels using web content and CRM tools, designed to generate and engage new leads in markets around the world
  • Generate new website traffic through SEO and AdWords campaigns, using a grant budget of $480,000 pa
  • Deliver a social media calendar that communicates our brand
  • Deliver targeted social media campaigns that support our digital strategy
  • Deliver an email marketing strategy
  • Use social listening tools to track and add value to our digital strategy
  • Measure and optimize the effectiveness of all aspects of the digital marketing strategy


Person specification

Essential qualifications, experience and competences:

  • Experience to manager and deliver successful digital campaigns using SEO, AdWords, Social Media, websites, CRM tools and Email Marketing.
  • Experience creating effective, brand-relevant digital content
  • Experience line-managing reports and leading teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • The ability to influence and create strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders from different functions, cultures and levels
  • Experience championing the role of digital and content marketing, in order to transform organizational strategy
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver competing tasks to deadlines, under pressure
  • An understanding of and commitment to Common Purpose’s mission, values and behaviours.
  • Have a passion for digital, using their knowledge of new trends to innovate solutions
  • Be creative, constantly bring new ideas to the table
  • Be inspirational, supportive, and know how to get the best out of the teams they lead
