Content Manager (Impact)

Main purpose of the role

Common Purpose programmes develop leaders who can cross boundaries. This enables them to solve complex problems both in global organizations and in cities around the world.

We are looking for a marketing professional who can help us communicate the impact of our programmes: both through compelling data and statistics, and through the powerful stories our alumni tell. The ideal candidate will be a brilliant communicator who understands the value that evidence and testimonials can play in engaging potential partners on our impact and overall mission. They will be adept at writing for global audiences and will understand how to engage stakeholders in the Asia-Pacific region, specifically.

Position: Content Manager (Impact)

Department/Office: Communications & Marketing Department

Responsible to: Communications & Marketing Director

Grade: E

Physical Location: Singapore           

Salary: SGD 48,000-50,000 per annum pro-rated

Duration: Permanent Part time (3 days per week) 

Scope of the role and personal specification

The main purpose of this role is to communicate Common Purpose’s impact: on individuals, on organizations and on society; through assessment data, digital content and storytelling.

Scope of the role

You will have a strong ability to work on your own initiative to create new content about our impact and embed this into our communications across the organization.

This role entails, but not limited to, the following:

  • Work with our design team to create impact reports that communicate our mission and impact
  • Work with Common Purpose alumni, globally, to source and create powerful impact stories.
  • Maintain a library of quotes and stories that communicate different aspects of our impact in locations around the world
  • Use our assessment system and the data generated from it to communicate our impact in a compelling, imaginative way
  • Work across the organization to create a culture of communicating our impact in everything we do.
  • Ensure work is effective in communicating to global audiences, as well as stakeholders in the Asia-Pacific region, specifically. 
Person specification

Essential qualifications, experience and competences:

We will consider candidates from any background provided they can demonstrate the relevance of their skills and experience, and an ability to work independently

The person appointed will essentially demonstrate:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong writing skills that can convey brand voice for global audiences
  • Experience creating compelling digital content and marketing materials
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong storytelling ability
  • Understanding of how data can be used and presented to support communication
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and deliver competing tasks to deadlines, under pressure
  • Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions, cultures and levels
  • An understanding of and commitment to Common Purpose’s mission, values and behaviours
  • Creativity, constantly bring new ideas to the table

Desirable qualifications, experience and competences:

  • Experience using Microsoft Publisher
