CSCLeaders

An annual global leadership programme which assembles 100 exceptional senior leaders selected from government, businesses and NGOs across the 52 countries of the Commonwealth.

CSCLeaders brings leaders together to tackle challenges that businesses, governments and society face today and to build the global relationships needed by the leaders of tomorrow.

CSCLeaders is a partnership between the leadership development organisation Common Purpose and HRH The Duke of Edinburgh's Commonwealth Study Conferences (UK Fund).

CSCLeaders has run hugely successful programmes not just in the UK but in Commonwealth cities worldwide, broadening participants' horizons by exposing them to challenges and opportunities in diverse places. The next CSCLeaders programme will start in Manchester and Glasgow with particpants travelling to another Commonwealth city for the second half of the programme.

Upcoming dates:

CSCLeaders Kuala Lumpar: 25-28 September 2018

HRH Princess Anne, The Princess Royal, President, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences

"What I have witnessed has been transformational as the individuals overcome assumptions and form into high-performing focused teams, and this is what makes the Commonwealth Study Conferences so special."

CSCLeaders 2018 Challenge ‘What makes a city resilient?'

Resilience is the capacity of individuals, communities, institutions, businesses and systems within a city to survive, adapt and grow, no matter what kind of local, national or global pressures they experience. Participants will look at how we ensure our cities are resilient and, in becoming more resilient, how cities also become more sustainable.

The Challenge underpins leadership learning. Participants tackle the Challenge and develop proposals before presenting them to a panel of experts. Implementing their ideas gives participants a focus for continuing their connections.

Previous Challenges include:
‘What could be the future of energy in Commonwealth cities?’ and ‘What makes a city smart?’

CSCLeaders London and Manchester:

Tackle a global challenge and develop the Cultural Intelligence to collaborate and innovate within an incredibly diverse group of senior leaders. Hear from thought leaders and visit organizations to explore the Challenge and concepts of leadership. Develop game-changing ideas in response and pitch them to a panel of experts.

CSCLeaders Kuala Lumpar:

Get beneath the skin of a vibrant and rapidly developing Commonwealth city. Develop the Cultural Intelligence to be an effective leader in new places where the context is different. Explore how leaders operate in the Private, Public and NGO sectors and how they cross boundaries to solve complex problems.
