Thozeka Tshangela is currently the Programme Coordinator at Common Purpose South Africa. She grew up in a small village in Sterkspruit - the Eastern Cape and matriculated in 2010 at Lady Grey Arts Academy. Thozeka then went to further her studies at the, Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth where she obtained her Public Relations Management Diploma and BTech Public Relations Diploma. In 2013, while studying, she worked as an Academic Mentor at the university female residence, where she mentored young first year students. It was then when her passion for serving others began. During her university years, she also had the pleasure of working on numerous projects where she assisted graduates with obtaining internships and graduate programmes in both the public and private sectors. From the 2015 to mid-2017, she was part of the Transnet Foundation Phelophepa Health Care Train Project in the Eastern Cape where she worked as a social mobiliser and engaged with stakeholders from both the rural and urban areas in the province.
Thozeka enjoys working with diverse group of people because she believes that is where great learning takes place. She loves travelling and finds pleasure in running.
