A programme for emerging leaders in Qatar.
Common Purpose Navigator will bring together emerging leaders from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors who live and work in Qatar to tackle a challenge focused on entrepreneurship. The programme will introduce them to working together in a fresh and exciting way and, as a result, they will develop innovative ideas for fostering entrepreneurship.
Established leaders from different organisations in Qatar identify the entrepreneurship challenge.
This challenge provides the framework for the programme. Over four days participants are guided through a process of creativity and innovation, including visits to organisations across Doha and sessions with senior leaders from Doha and around the world. The participants will explore the challenge from every possible angle and will see both the problems and the possible solutions in practice.
Participants work up practical ideas in response to the challenge, which they present to a panel of senior leaders at the end of the programme. They then work on their ideas individually and collectively, building long-lasting connections and developing projects that can be prototyped in the ‘real world’ beyond the programme.
Applications are invited from exceptional leaders in the early to mid-stage of their careers from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
All applicants must be residents of Qatar and we expect that the majority of participants will be Qatari nationals.
Participants will be high achievers and skilled practitioners in their chosen fields. They will be recognised as those who will rapidly progress to even more senior roles, for example an entrepreneur looking to expand their business, the director of a team in a multinational organisation or a family business, a fast-tracked government employee working across departments and looking to head up their first big team, or the founder of a social enterprise.
All applications will be reviewed by the Navigator Advisory Group which will be comprised of leaders from organisations across the sectors in Qatar.
Common Purpose Navigator encourages participants to work in new directions and develop innovative approaches. The experience will help participants to:
“We are proud to contribute actively, together with our partners Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC), Social Development Center (SDC) and Silatech, to the Common Purpose ‘Navigator’ programme, as this will play an important role in engaging future leaders and entrepreneurs in some of the practical issues and challenges raised by the Qatar National Vision 2030 by helping them to be more innovative, more entrepreneurial, and better leaders.”
“This experience has been thrilling ... The outcome is beyond expectations.”
