Common Purpose Navigator is a unique experiential leadership training programme designed to broaden the horizons and perspectives of bright, young professionals.
On Common Purpose Navigator, you can tailor your programme to your needs and complete modules in many different cities around the world.
Common Purpose Navigator makes the city your classroom; taking you behind the scenes and immersing you in real-life challenges faced by leaders from a wide range of sectors. This experiential programme helps you explore change and innovation, allowing you to develop better problem-solving skills and the ability to work in diverse groups.
You will receive insights from key leaders in the city or region, who will share with you their successes and failures on the key themes of power, courage and resonance. Navigator provides you with a safe space to share your own leadership challenges with fellow participants.
“In reality, different stakeholders have different agendas and priorities. To achieve common purpose, lobbying and engagement are needed.”
Usually, but not exclusively, participants on a Common Purpose Navigator are in the first 10 years of their careers and are under the age of 35. They come from extremely diverse backgrounds, representing a balance of the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
Benefits of the programme
“I really appreciated that Common Purpose provided me with a risk free environment for practicing my leadership skill and exercising my courage.”
The programme is designed to reflect current issues and themes. It is characterised by variety and challenge, with participants visiting sites and engaging in group-work.
The next Navigator course will run in 2018. If you would like more details in the meantime please email John-Paul Lui, Programme Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org.
