Helping senior executives question their own mind-sets and personal leadership styles.

Common Purpose worked with the Lufthansa Group to deliver three days of a five day leadership program in Mumbai for the Lufthansa Group's senior executives. This involved series of 'immersion' visits to organizations from the public, private and nonprofit sectors across Mumbai.

The objective of the days in Mumbai was to deeply immerse the participants into a completely different culture and a completely different social and economic environment. Therefore Common Purpose was selected as an experienced partner in bringing various perspectives together and in organizing inspiring experiential learning activities. The way Common Purpose organized the days – various immersion visits including social enterprises, business best practise exchange and intensive insights to Indian social life and art with reflection sessions afterwards – pushed the participants towards their normal boundaries in order to question their own mind-sets and personal leadership styles.

"The activities of Common Purpose in Mumbai were embedded in a 3-module development programme for exclusively nominated senior managers from our company and from partner companies. All participants perceive the module in Mumbai as the clear highlight of the programme. As the Lufthansa Group is in the process of large-scale transformation while establishing a new leadership culture, the change of perspectives was crucial to initiate a process of behavioural change. All participants stated that the learning experience of Mumbai has a truly deep and long-lasting influence on their professional and personal life."
