Business Manager, Common Purpose Student Experiences

Louise Andersson

Louise is a driven and outgoing person with great communication and organizational skills developed through her involvement in organizations at university and through her internship. She has a passion for working with people and enjoys doing so in a dynamic environment with individuals of different backgrounds. Her thirst for adventures and challenges has led her to immerse herself into a variety of cultures to learn new languages and understand unfamiliar customs. At the young age of 24, Louise has lived, studied, and worked in five different countries including Sweden, France, Switzerland, the United States, and the United Kingdom. These experiences have left her fluent in three languages - Swedish, English and French - and given her a greater understanding of cultural differences and how to best overcome them.

While at the University of Richmond, in the United States, Louise achieved a Dual Degree with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Leadership Studies. Her interest in leadership inspired her to be part of a variety of organisations including; the Jepson School of Leadership Student Government as the Executive Vice President, and the oldest professional business fraternity in the U.S. – Alpha Kappa Psi – as the Vice President of Membership. Additionally, Louise was one of four students elected by the Leadership School to represent the University at an international leadership conference. With only one month to create a paper, presentation and argument, Louise's team used Connective Leadership to approach a challenge given on immigration in the U.S.

During the summer of 2014 Louise did an internship with Common Purpose Student Experiences, where she was in charge of the communication and management of the participants on the Global Leader Experience in Glasgow and Edinburgh as part of the Commonwealth Games. After graduating from university, Louise decided that she wanted to gain hands-on experience within her field of study and joined Common Purpose Student Experiences in August 2015 as the Business Manager.
