David is a Course Director in the Common Purpose London team. David is an experienced project manager, having worked in both the private, public and voluntary sectors. David has worked with Common Purpose since 2011, having relocated to the UK from Ireland. David began his career with Common Purpose as the Course Manager on the London Meridian programme. David works across a wide variety of Common Purpose projects such as open courses, international development initiatives, student offerings and customised solutions. He enjoys the different dynamics of working with both senior leaders and student groups.
Prior to joining Common Purpose, David worked in the Telecommunications industry; specialising in sales and internal training delivery. He has also previously worked in consultancy and with various Chambers of Commerce in Ireland as a relationship & project manager, and training facilitator. He has successfully delivered a large training initiative between local business and national government leading to increased collaboration and knowledge sharing initiatives and has also worked on a joint initiative between Ireland and the EU on a cross sharing skills-based programme. David holds a BBS (Hons) in Business & Marketing from the University of Limerick, Ireland.
David enjoys travelling and takes advantage of every opportunity to see new countries. He is a keen footballer - having founded his own football club back home in Ireland - and a rugby enthusiast. David's inspiration for working at Common Purpose is having the opportunity to meet people from different walks of life, sharing in their experiences, having an opportunity to learn from a multitude of leaders and seeing how our programmes enable them to progress and develop their capabilities to make real change happen over time.
